Expropriation Bill on Hold... for Now...

The Communist-ANC’s dreaded Expropriation Bill, which would allow for the Bantu Regime to conduct an all-out land grab of property, including white farms, has garnered an usual coalition of opposition, ranging from the liberal-leaning Democratic Alliance, to the conservative Freedom Front Plus, as well as interests such as the Boervolk and the African Christian Democratic Party.

Last week’s savage beating of white farmers Mike & Angela Cambell & Ben Freeth, who have been waging their own legal battle in Communist Occupied Rhodesia against Mugabe's attempt to expropriate their farms, brought a clear and vivid picture of what may very well be in store for white farmers in South Africa, should the Expropriation Bill become law and given the silent Boer Genocide currently under way there.

This week, news broke of the Expropriation Bill being set aside... for now. How long will this detante last? How true a victory is this? Dr. Chris Van Zeal, Property Rights Manager, TAU SA, explains this and more.

The Pushback Against Expropriation

Last week, property owners, especially Boere farmers, across South Africa were raising their voices against the ANC-proposed Expropriation Act. The vaguely-written, Orwellian legislature calls on property deemed to be "in the public interest" must be sold to the government, at lower-than-market prices. Appeal to such an "offer" could not really be refused, as judges in South Africa are appointed by the ANC and would very unlikely go against their party's edict.

This week, a surprise announcement was released by the Northern Cape
MEC of Agriculture and Land Reform, Tina Joemat-Pettersson, who said the Expropriation bill would not be accepted by Parliament due to its unconstitutional nature.

Casper Nordier, Provincial Leader of the African Christian Democrat Party (ACDP) in Freestate, and a standing member of Parliament in Freestate discusses this legislation is uniting the people of South Africa against a truly bizarre and over-reaching legislation.

The Expropriation Act

Mnr. Edwin Leemans of boerevryheid.co.za speaks about the Expropriation Act of 2008, which will allow the Communist-ANC to legally evict farmers from their land. Under this proposed law, not only farmers are affected - all properties are suspect and determined by the ANC to be "in the public interest" would be "expropriated for public purpose". Property owners would be offered an amount by the ANC for their land and, if they dispute the takeover, would get a hearing in front of an ANC-appointed judge in a kangaroo court which will certainly rule against them.

The bill is expected to be passed into law on Friday, 27th June, and will be signed by Thabo Mbeki later in July.
