John Minto Interview

Calling in all the way from Christ Church, New Zealand, Left-wing political activist John Minto talks about why he has rejected the the Companions of O R Tambo Award, the highest honor granted by the South African government to non-South Africans "in recognition of friendship, cooperation and support" whose previous recipients include Mahatma Gandhi, Kofi Annan, Salvador Allende and Martin Luther King Jr.

The South African government has since stated that Minto has not been nominated for any national award whatsoever, but remains "open to engaging with Mr. Minto and the New Zealand Anti Apartheid Movement with regards to the upliftment of South Africa".

The conversation between Minto and hosts Frank and John devolves into a donnybrook after the self-confessed socialist starts to blame America and George W. Bush for the world's ills, and compares the CIA to "Nazis". South African Boer Henry calls in to give his two cents and Minto hangs up in disgust after Henry says the Left has "blood on its hands" for the Boer Genocide.
