Neil Watson Interview

Neil Watson, creator of crimexposouthafrica.org, discusses his start-up organization that has made its mission to let the world know of the real situation of violent crime in South Africa. According to Watson, his website has become, in only three short months, the most viewed political website in South Africa.

Despite accusations that his website is "racist," Watson also covers black-on-black crime and shows that non-whites are sadly the largest victims of crime in South Africa.

In this exclusive interview with The Right Perspective, Watson also discusses the many rumors and accusations made about him on the Internet, and the recent expose done by South African tabloid The Citizen.

Watson answers these and other charges made about him:

Neil Watson is really notorious gay activist Juan Uys: Watson insists he is not Juan Uys, who was brought on only as a volunteer for a short time to promote the site. Watson states Uys was not involved with site content and was never considered a "member of the staff".

Falsely stating he created a non-profit "Section 21": Watson states he only asked his readers for advice on creating a Section 21, but ditched the idea after realizing he could do the same thing (accepting funds legally) through the creation of a political party. Watson said that he is not legally obliged to reveal the names of donors, either, even though a listener wrote in to say that even a 1 Rand donation requires this.

Website registrations under aliases and different names: Watson tells The Right Perspective that he purposefully did this to confuse potential enemies of his message, and if all the registration info were centrally located, it would have been very easy to sink his concept.

Where in the World is Neil Watson?: Many rumors have circulated about the actual location of Neil Watson, and he lied about his international travels. Watson says he did announce on his website when he traveled, and did move around the country out of concerns for his personal safety.
