Exempt from the complusory service in the SADF because of his being a British immigrant, Steven Webb entered military service anyway, despite his parent's misgivings, and served in the South African medical service. After basics, Mr. Webb posted to Sam's Combat Medical Operation Company, Ops company, for six months of advanced medical service and he saw service in the Border War.
