In 1984, the South African Defence Force was part of a large scale bushwar which was being fought on the northern border of South West Africa, today known as Namibia. Waging battle against Angolan guerillas and Cuban troops, this was perhaps the hidden side of The Cold War.
Today, many White South Africans are still deeply affected by their service during those years. Writer and director Chris dos Santos speaks about his movie, At Thy Call, which brings light and detail to that time.
